L'hotel de Caumont

Centre d'Art d'Aix-en-Provence is a truly Aixoise destination.

Founded between 1715 and 1742, it is an old 'Hotel Particulier' or Penthouse located in the oldest Quarter of Aix called Le Quartier Mazarin.

it was before that and from 1964, the 'Conservatoire de Musique' of the city ; it is now a Museum.

Looking to the future, Aix en Provence invites you to pass the door of the Vasarely Foundation and discover the 44 monumental works of the artist.

This "polychrome city of happiness" is the symbol of the great fusion of Art and Architecture.

Pavillon Vendome and its garden " à la francaise " is located in the heart of the city and it is one of the greatest treasures inherited from the Grand Siècle.

Purchased in 1906 by Henri Dobler who carried out the rich work of restoring andfurnishing the building, the Pavillon Vendome was subsequently bequeathed to the city of Aix en Provence. Rich in its works and collections, it became a Museum in 1990 and welcomes numerous exhibitions of modern and contemporary Art.
